Custom Locomotives
Some details about our Custom Locomotives :
* Carriage and Wagon Models have been customising / renaming / weathering /proprietary Hornby / Bachmann etc Model Railway items for over 11 years. Up until now we have always sold the Custom Locomotive range at the many Model railway exhibitions that we attend, where they are well received and always sell well. We will be offering them also now on ebay, with many available soon for this year .We have always specialised in Southern Region steam , Bulleid's , etc but have Standard BR and other region loco;s as well
Spec. guide : Our " Pro Weathered " series Locomotives have typically 10 to 14 different applications to the models ( depending on whether steam or Diesel / Electric ). This can include 5 airbrush/ 4 hand brushing and 4 powder applications , real coal,etc. We use enamels Most are worked from photographs and can include various detailed applications inc water staining and spillage ,oil leakages , oily axleboxes, rusting etc. Our pristine renumbered/ renamed locomotives have Etched nameplates ( where fitted) and are from specialist suppliers. Renumbering is from mostly dryprints with airbrush overvarnish to minimise or avoid carrier film visibility. These models take time to produce plus paint hardening times and we feel represent good value.
We delete sold items quickly as they are sold but always a good idea to phone or Email phone before ordering, to check availability , this is due to the possibility that items may have been purchased at Exhibitions .
Due to my Collegue now semi Retired We will only be weathering Locomotives , and wont be taking on customers Locos .Only ones that we produce.
